The Elves’ House
text in Swedish below
If someone is wondering where Santa’s little elves are going to live and if you haven’t got a barn with hay, I can show you how to make a simple abode for them. When I was a little girl, I got this playful house for my elves from my mother and grandmother as a Christmas present.
Take a thicker sort of fabric and mark where the hanger will be placed. decorate the fabric on one side with different bits of spare fabric for the roof, windows and balconies. Use zig-zag stitches so that it doesn’t take too long to sew them on. Sew on a backing of fabric, leaving the bottom open so that you can slip in the hanger and then sew together.

If possible, crochet some fantasiful figures or let other dolls move into the house which you hang up against the wall at a convenient height for play.

Tomtarnas hus
